TMX Track List #5

I must say I’m a bit disappointed with this weeks Track List. Tonic_91 & JuneRaT’s collaboration work (Save Your Breath) is a creative piece of work, and Markus’s “The Wild Hunt” isn’t too bad either, but after those two it just goes down. The sad thing is that all (well, most anyway) of the track are really good base structures, but there doesn’t seem to be much of ambition or innovation in the tracks. And considering the quality of some of these authors other tracks, we all know they can do better.

Oh, and is it just me, or do you too find it weird that seven out of the nine tracks in this post are approximately 45 seconds long? I’m telling you man, it’s all those commersials and advertisements. They’re messing with our minds!

Anyway, here’s the 5th TMX Track List…

Note: If you have signed up for the TMX Track List, but are not listed, it’s because you have not uploaded a new track since the last time the list was updated, or because the limit of maximum 10 tracks listed has been reached (in which case you will have a greater chance of being listed next time instead).

    eya jozii – two things i don’t really understand…

    – 7 out of the 9 are about 45 seconds long, well, i think it’s pretty logic, since 45 seconds is the most used, and to my opinion perfect length of a track… 🙂

    – stupid advertisements?! you mean the custom advertisements by people, or do you mean these kind of Coca Cola Zero adverts, or other things above every start, checkpoint and scenery bit?! if it’s the last case, open the TMU launcher, go to Configure > Advanced > Network, and disable the advertisements… 😉

further, a nice track list again, where i played just one of the tracks from so far… 🙂

JJ, you really need to learn something about humor 😉

Loop Master was a track made specifically for the ATP Nations Swarm – we all tried to make tracks that work in both Nations and United, and we wanted to recall the feeling Nations had one year ago. And since one of my first truly classic tracks for Nations was the “Loop Mastery – 02”, I thought it would be good to make a loopy track, with plenty of crossings. I didn’t really aim to do anything spectacular (in the same time, I was working on the MediaTracking for ATP’s two PF tracks, also on 2 TMX Community Tracks, ATP BASCO track stages and also in the Big Brother program, so not much time left for anything spectacular anyway).

And I’m doubting I’ll come up with something for the next list, considering my wedding is 17 days from now 😉

  3. micster says:

Well today’s people want Bite-sized racing, so we give it to them. 😉

I can see lots of 7s in the list too, are today’s trackbuilders suddenly degrading or something? I hope I’m not. 😛

  4. MrA says:

7/10 is a high rating for me :p

  5. JumperJack says:

    woopsie alca!! then i haven’t understood it right… :O

it’s difficult for someone from the outside of england to understand english humour, and also because it’s in a foreign language, eh… but i’ll read it twice before complaining again from now on!! 😉

  6. Alcator says:

JumperJack: Don’t worry, I read it has something to do with the chemicals the little green men inject into us during their test, and so perhaps you should be glad you don’t understand it – at least it means you were not abducted yet. 😉

Greetings to MrA, haven’t seen you posting here yet 🙂

  7. Jozii says:

JJ, I mean the Coco Cola Zero adverts kind-of-stuff 😛 Real life advertising. And yes, it was just a bad joke 😛

Oh, and what do you mean English humor? I’ve only been to England once, and at that time I was about three or four years old, so I doubt I caught on to their kind of humor 😛

Micster, yesterday (when I wrote the list) I did get the feeling that trackbuilders are suddenly degrading 😦 I hope it was just a bad month, and that this kind of thing won’t happen again, but some people surely need to builder tracks with greater care. This was a bit disappointing 😦

And MrA, your track on this list was the best I’ve played by you. Take it as a compliment or insult, it’s up to you 😛

  8. JumperJack says:

ah lol – forget all – it’s just me who got to read better… 😀

(but you can turn of the coca cola zero advertisements!! 😛 )

and it can be sure a bad month – it’s also a busy month, sure for students like me… :O

however, next month, i’m planning to release two new tracks, one was meant to be released for the MTC march – lol 😉
