Forever?
So, you’ve all had the time to test Forever thorughly now. Now let’s hear your thoughts! Will Forever really last… forever? Or is it just the news that is appealing, and then it will die out? And how good did Nadeo succeed anyway? Did Forever meet your expectations, or did it leave you wanting more? Would you say Nado listened to the community, or did they just add their own stuff?
Come on, let’s hear it ![]()

Well, quite obviously, TM Forever won’t last forever. But it might last 2 or 3 years, perhaps with the help of one more free add on. Meanwhile, Nadeo will create the next installment in the serie, or maybe they will bravely go for a different genre…?

It’s fun again, and a lot new people are trying out Nations now - Starforce is gone and with steam as new distribution plattform, more and more people are interested. Of course it won’t last “forever”, but at least a few months, maybe even 1-2 years.
What I really miss in TMF, is a much better use of the buddy and group system. The medals ranging in offline mode is useless, why can’t I see the times of my buddies on each track? Why can’t I browse the group etc.
I was hoping for a more “socialized” TM, but it’s still missing a lot. Maybe this might be added with a small update.

Icewolf, LsBlend
Erm, are you sure you are looking properly? Because both those things are there…
You see the best times on a track by members of your group, and you can PM users in-game.

Group != buddy list
I have quite a few people on my buddy list, who either only own Nations or are not in the same groups as I am, so there is no way to compare these things:
- Online ranking
- Track times
- Skillpoints (solo ladder)
Message to friends is possible, if they own United, Nations seems to miss quite a lot

Personally, I think it’s OK that there’s less stuff in Nations. I mean, it is after all free, and still an excellent way of getting people to buy the “full version”.
However, I also think Nadeo failed a bit on the “we want” part. A lot of the stuff added is stuff they want, not necessarily stuff that the community has asked for. Nothing wrong with that - surprises are always nice - but I still think they could have listened just a little more to the community, on some parts.
And, as suggested already, there are still things that can and should be improved…

Nadeo have listened to the community here, look at the new blocks
And I don’t care if anything have been added, I just want a sexy interface

In my opinion some of the blocks are not in the interest of the community (random boosters, anyone?), and, many blocks offer little crativity (like the Desert and Rally “fixed” turns - they’re cool, but it’s hard putting them to good use in the long run.
The interface, indeed, looks awesome
It’s almost my favorite part of the game now
