I’m glad helping you out with a new concept..I’ll give some thought on the word ‘extreme’ this week, referring to trackmania of course.
As for the contest, I guess I’m forever stuck on the third place somewhere

I seem so harsh compared to the other reviewers.

Well, I cannot understand many of your Sunrise and Nations judgings, Micster. Really. It seems like you only rated the tracks in terms of looks. Your results do not look distinguished.
For example, how could you give “Track Angels II” only 8 of 90 points, with a track design that showed that Useless had an idea and the gush to realise it, and a wallride that worked better than in Vincent or Dakkon’s track?
Or Noah’s Ark 22 pts?? Nobody else has had the idea to unite two tracks in one piece, bound to the same checkpoints. It’s sort of a Shortcut track, and the cut is very well hidden. I gave 24 of 25 pts for the innovation alone there.
Please, tell me.
In any case, if anyone wants to check back on my results, feel free to contact me.

Yeah, hastings, I’d like to get a more thorough breakdown of your opinion on my 3 tracks (TMX account [ATP] Alcator, as you probably know
)
I’ve got 3 5th places
I wouldn’t want to turn the discussion here into “Oh, but you misjudged this and that on my track”; if a judge doesn’t see something I put in the track, then perhaps I did a poor job communicating it properly, or perhaps the track wasn’t interesting enough to keep him motivated to search for the hidden stuff.
Concerning Noah’s Ark, it’s great that even though that person fishy posted the “fast route” replay as WR, there’s an award from someone who didn’t find the hidden path – perhaps that person will try the track again and look more closely

Hastings, that I can answer. Track Angels II was a near total dissapointment to me. It wasn’t innovative, it looked disgusting from my perspective, wasn’t designed smoothly, and simply wasn’t plain fun.
Noah’s Ark wasn’t too enjoyable compared to most of the other Nations tracks I played. It looked rush, it wasn’t very innovative, and the fun factor was mediocre compared to the other tracks I played. I didn’t even know about a cut, or any sort of secondary path during the time I was judging, I just went along the path that seemed most obvious. Perhaps had I known, I may have scored it accordingly.
Hope that answers your questions Hastings, I didn’t mean any offense from the ratings I gave out for these tracks.

you shoudl’ve known there was a shortcut, micster
the long route was around 23 seconds long, it was obvious to me that thee must be a trick somewhere
and aftr reaching gold easily and watching the authortime.. well

TimeBreaker: That was exactly my plan: Setting the bronze, silver and gold times so high, so that racers would be tricked into thinking “scrape just a few miliseconds and I’m there!”… and then – WHAT??? 14 seconds? No way!
Obviously, I managed to build such a great trick that even a judge who surely spend at least 10 tries on each track was fooled beyond redemption. I’m great! I’m da man!

lol alcator
didnt give you many points from the judges though^^
December 11, 2007 at 11:14 pm |
Didn’t give me many awards either, but that doesn’t change a thing. I’m still da man!

Haha alcator
Dandaman is da man, you’re merely just a man…
Will there be a new contest?? Or just now Jozii stops the contest stops??
And how about the copper distribution?? It’s not I need the coppers or anything, but I won some so I’d like to gain some
