You remember the TMU Writing Contest, right? Sure you do! The results are now here, and as stated in the original rules it’s the top 5 that get the most attention! 10,000 coppers are dealt to these people, for their great in-sight view of TrackMania combined with their writing skills. Read on for the actual results
Let’s see straight away who the top five are:
- “Looking Into the Crystal Ball – The Future of TrackMania”, written by DABH.
- “Easy ManiaLink Creator – A Vision”, written by Cyberfrog.
- “Getting More Coppers In TrackMania United”, written by DABH.
- “Screenmania”, written by JumperJack.
- “How to be a well known author at TMX”, written by T_Z_.
Thes are all great articles, and if you find even one of the titles appealing, I suggest you keep your good eye on the blog throughout the rest of the month. The above articles will appear, along with suitable followers (who didn’t quite make it to the top 5, but who are still worth being read).
And as promised the top 5 receive coppers as follows:
- 5000 coppers – DABH
- 2000 coppers – Cyberfrog
- 1500 coppers – DABH
- 1000 coppers – JumperJack
- 500 coppers – T_Z_
Additionally, there was a promise that a total of 4000 coppers would be dealt to the first five submissions as follows:
- 2000 coppers – Rycardoo
- 1000 coppers – T_Z_
- 500 coppers – JumperJack
- 250 coppers – Dutchman
- 250 coppers – DABH
And it doesn’t stop there! It was also promised that by spreading the word of the contest, one would get additional coppers – 100 coppers per website where a link was placed. I know for a fact that more links were placed, but in order to claim your coppers you had to “register” your links for the contest, and only two people actually did that:
- 200 coppers – Rycardoo (two links)
- 100 coppers – Montana_cz (one link)
All together, that’s a hell lot of coppers! Just for fun, let’s have a look at who has won how many coppers:
- DABH – 6750 coppers
- Rycardoo – 2200 coppers
- Cyberfog – 2000 coppers
- JumperJack – 1500 coppers
- T_Z_ – 1500 coppers
- Dutchman – 250 coppers
- Montana_cz – 100 coppers
Please forgive me if I did any miscalculations
So, congratulations to the winners of the contest as well as to the winners of coppers, and thank you all for your participation!
The winning articles can be read over the course of July (some are split into several parts due to their length), so remember to keep your eyes out for it!
Enjoy

Wow…congratulations to the winners…I am very happy for having participated in the Contest…. In the coppers award you did not write my name correctly it should read rycardoo.

Oh, sorry Rycardoo :$ I’m not sure, but I believe I didn’t manage to send you your coppers (probably wrote “Ricardoo” there too”
). If this is the case, send me an in-game PM as reminder, and you’ll get it in August

wow these titles sound interesting, i cant wait to read the articles !
hey jozii, maybe you should split some articles? then you could fill in more days with posts and its less to read for a person on one day

lol Insane, that reminds me, did you send anything TB
July 15, 2007 at 5:33 pm |
Haha T_Z_, good one
(he didn’t)
TB, I DID actually split a few of them. In fact, as they are already pre-posted, I know that they will last until August (yes, you’ll have to wait that long before you’ve read them all
) – but keep in mind that 1) there’s not always one post/day, and 2) in between these contest articles there are also Alcator’s weekly articles as well as a few track reviews.
