A whila ago a Tribute Track contest was started at the TMU Blog Forum. Today, the winner is announced
The criteria was to build a track as a tribute to the TMU Blog and/or its forum. The winner is then of course the track who succeeded the best on doing this, but also TMX awards are taken in to consideration.
Already last week people were confident who the winner would be, based on the fact that one of the participating tracks got an extreme amount of awards in a very short time. But how did this track succeed meeting the criteria of the contest? I won’t hold you off any longer now, the winner is:
Greed for Speed by TimeBreaker
This was the track with all the awards at TMX, and on top of that, it was in fact the track that succeeded best on meeting the criteria. An obvious winner, in other words. The track includes a “history” of the TMU Blog as well as links to both the blog and the forum. Also, there are custom signs using the blog banner, and a link to the blog in the in-game author comments.
And of course, the track itself is a masterpiece. TimeBreaker has done a good job designing the track, and it’s pretty clear why it has received so many awards. The track includes everything from full-speed sections with a technical touch to more technical twists and turns. Intense speed on both asphalt and off-road parts (grass and dirt), and some very cool and innovative transitions, jumps and stunts.
The track not only feels good, it looks good too. The scenery is great and especially the MT work is superb.
So congratulations to TimeBreaker on a well deserved victory. I suggest you congratulate him yourself by checking out Greed for Speed and perhaps dropping him an award or comment. Also big thanks to the other contestants – all tracks had something special in them!
Have a great day

I congratulate the winner, I also have to say that I’m a bit disapointed that the other submitted tracks didn’t at least a little mention in this article…

Actually, I did write about the others, but it turned out to be too much, so the winning track only got 1/3 of the attention. After all, the prize was the attention. Unfortunately, I didn’t have time to shorten or rewrite anything, so I just removed the parts about the other tracks. Sorry
