Driver’s Contest II – Quarterfinals

Two days ago you received the results of the Eliminations Stage. Due to three people (JakeOIL, Kellerkind and Sk84funPrzemo) having the exact same time (!), a tie-breaker race was held, and the winner of that race (and thus the one to get the final spot in the quarterfinals) is Kellerkind!

Now let’s get the quarterfinal going…

Quarterfinal

As you know we’ve got eight players competing for the grand prize of 5000 coppers, but to get that far the contestants must race each other in a series of 1-1 events. In the following image you’ll see how the contestants have been paired with each other (based on what their favorite environments are (if you didn’t send a list, it’s too late now) and how well they did in the Eliminations Stage) and what tracks they have to race:

So to make things short, what the contestants now need to do is to:

  1. Download their given track (again, see the image above) at TMX.
  2. Race the track and save their best replays.
  3. Send their best replay (one only) to Jozii@pp.inet.fi.
  4. DEADLINE: Friday 18th of May.

Here are the tracks (direct download):

Remember, cuts are NOT allowed!

I wish the contestants good luck :D

  3. CMCZeo Says:

  4. TimeBreaker Says:

good that i didnt drive for the qualificaation of the quarterfinals :P
i wouldve lost everywhere with 2 seconds xD

  5. CubicReg Says:

Thanks Zeo, the same to you :)
I was sure I wouldn’t pass the first stage when I saw the times of the competitors on TMX… and I wouldn’t have been surprised considering my nearly non existant skills on Stadium :d
The alpine track is very challenging. At such speeds, we can make great differences in term of time seeing the sharp turns.
The feeling I have about a track isn’t often good when it comes to a technical one, so I’ll wait until I know it well to decide whether I award it or not ;)

  6. Zooz Says:

Yes, gl Dec, I hope you learned desert by now, even though the track is quite easy. I put a replay on tmx :P

  7. CMCZeo Says:

What the, i send you replay and i’m sure i attached the replay, but you say there’s no attachment in the mail you’ve received? :/ Please check my another one and tell me is there attachment too. I’m sure on those 2 mails i attached the replay. If there’s no attachment, so i have to upload this track onto the hosting site and send you the link.

  8. Jozii Says:

Sorry, no atachment this time either :( But it seems to work fine for others. Upload it instead, ’cause I don’t know what’s wrong.
